Personal Narrative / Storytelling Photography - Maine
Camden, Maine, October 4 to 10, 2019
Explore the coast and coastal hills of Maine during the most beautiful time of the year. The foliage is in full swing. The schooners in the harbor take their rigging down and it is a great time to shoot on empty beaches or go for the beautiful barns in the Camden Hills. Long hikes in colorful forests soothe the soul and inspire the artist.

Personal Narrative / Storytelling Photography - Paris, France
Paris, November 3 to 9, 2019
Strolling the streets of Paris in the fall will make you feel more like a local than if you visit in other seasons. You can walk among the true Parisians picking up their baguettes for breakfast or running errands in the Marais, rather than getting stuck behind a tour group in neon yellow vests on Île Saint-Louis. No time like now to shoot in the garden of the Palais Royal or the Pere Lachaise cemetery.

Personal Narrative / Storytelling Photography - Paris, France
Paris, May 3 to 9, 2020
While my Paris November workshop will connect you with your melancholy side, May in Paris will make your heart sing. Nothing says “renewal” like this time of the year in the city of lights. With temperatures warm enough for a picnic on the banks of the Seine you will be exploring the city day or night.
All workshops will include ...

• a review of your existing portfolio (or simply your “Best Of”)
• a conversation to define what gives your art purpose and meaning
• ongoing discussions about how to create personal and genuine work along the lines of your
personal narrative – how to build a coherent portfolio
• assignments for new work
• review of new work
• shooting with models if desired by participants
• conversation about how to build your audience in the art market
• how to get out of creative doldrums
• the do-s and don't-s of participation in the pay-to-play art world
• websites and social media for photographers
